“Dancing with the Stars” married couple Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are getting a lot of attention in being the hosts to perhaps the two most controversial parings of the current 2021 season.

Chmerkovskiy was paired with Olivia Giannulli, widely known as Olivia Jade. Giannulli is the daughter to Lori Loughlin, and her name became widely popular during the 2019 college admissions scandal. Giannulli has undergone a lot of backlashes in joining the show. Chmerkovskiy has since commented on Giannulli’s appearance on the show, saying, “Olivia deserves this new chapter of her life.” The pair earned a 25/40 on their opening night.

Val’s wife and fellow pro, Johnson, was paired in a revolutionary coupling. Johnson has become a part of history in being paired with a fellow female, Jojo Siwa. The pair earned the top score on opening night with a 29/40.

The bars displayed below the pictures represent the average of how far 1,080 people felt each couple would go in the competition based on a poll posted to Instagram. The closer the dancing emoji gets to the right, the further the public felt the couple will go. Despite the controversies the public still feels that each of these pairings will go far in the competition.

What about the remaining competitors?
