University of Dayton redshirt senior guard Jalen Crutcher was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after his impressive performances in a pair of Flyers wins this week.

The Memphis, Tenn. native averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists, and shot 59.3 percent from the field (16-27) and 63.6 percent from three (7-11).

Crutcher was a catalyst for the Flyers in wins over Duquesne and George Washington, scoring 18 points against Duquesne (13 in the first half) and 23 against George Washington.

By knocking down seven threes, one from the logo on George Mason’s home court (game against GW moved because of unrest around Washington D.C.), Crutcher continues to cause problems for A10 defenses, and is currently third in the A10 in points per game (19.4).

Crutcher and the Flyers will face George Washington again, this time at UD Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
