The University of Dayton Panhellenic Council concluded Greek Week with their annual “Puttin’ On the Hits ” (POTH) dance competition at the UD Arena on September 26, 2025. Alpha Phi won first place in the competition with their dance routine themed after former boy band, One Direction.

POTH has been a staple of the Greek Week festivities for many years. The dance competition between chapters serves as the perfect way to cap the week. This year, however, was the first time the competition was held at the UD Arena rather than the RecPlex. The change in venue and being on the first day of Parent’s Weekend both benefitted the event, as 2417 people attended.

All eight sisterhood chapters competed in the event, their dance routines falling under the theme of “Battle of the Bands.” Additionally, two chapters of the Interfraternity Council, Phi Kappa Tau and Phi Kappa Psi, participated in a two-group competition, with Phi Kappa Tau being crowned the winner of the two with their dance inspired by The Beach Boys. The event featured guest performances from the UD Dance Team and Sigma Gamma Rho, a Greek life chapter dedicated to service in the Dayton community. Alpha Phi won the competition with their dance inspired by One Direction. Sigma Kappa finished right behind them with their ABBA-inspired routine, and Zeta Tau Alpha, the winners of last year’s contest, finished third with a dance themed after Queen.

The entirety of Greek Week was dedicated to raising money for the Collin Wiant Foundation, a foundation dedicated to anti-hazing awareness. In total, $47,495.91 was raised for the foundation. Though Alpha Phi won the dance competition, Pi Beta Phi raised the most money between all of the participating chapters over the course of Greek Week.
