Former Dayton Basketball Star, Obi Toppin, Proposes in the City of Love

Obi Toppin proposed to Magdalena Bellinger in Paris on January 21… and she said YES!
Former Flyer, Toppin, is beginning his fifth season in the NBA and second season for the Indiana Pacers this year. Following the engagement, the Pacers played two games against the Spurs in Paris, winning their second game on Saturday with a score of 136-98.
Toppin and Bellinger are coming up on their fifth year anniversary this March. They have two children: a daughter, Remi, and a son, Oziah. They announced their engagement via Instagram on January 22, captioning it, “Forever with you” and the @daytonflyers commented, “Congrats! ✈️❤️” right after.

Toppin’s successes in the NBA does not come by surprise. He led Dayton to a record-breaking season of 29-2 – the most wins in school history. Also in 2020, his second and final season at Dayton, he was named AP college basketball player of the year and won the Wooden Award.
