In an announcement today, the NCAA has canceled the men’s and women’s “March Madness” tournaments that were set to start next week.

“The decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat,” NCAA president Mark Emmert said in the announcement.

The men’s tournament was scheduled to start with the First Four at UD Arena next week.
