Students gathered in Kennedy Union Wednesday to hear this year’s Student Government Association (SGA) presidential candidates discuss their platforms one more time before casting a vote.

The presidential ticket of Delali Nenonene and Brandon Hall presented ideas for “putting the unity back in community” and making campus a more inclusive place. They promised to address campus issues head-on and work with administration to better the UD experience for all students.

Some of the initiatives Nenonene and Hall want to enact include creating cultural modules for incoming students to complete, making SGA meetings PATH-eligible and bringing a bigger headliner to the spring concert.

Running mates Bryan Borodkin and Erica Szczechowski also spoke about their platform, based on the goals of wellness, progress and transparency. They discussed their commitment to being “positive people for positive change” and bringing the campus community together to create lasting change.

If elected, the pair vows to increase awareness of mental health initiatives, make sustainability more of a priority and work towards making AVIATE more transparent.

Both tickets bring a wealth of SGA experience and connections to many student organizations across campus. However, what separates the two are their visions for the University.

“Erica and I are blessed to be students at UD, and we want to help others feel that same blessing,” Borodkin said.

“We’re focused on working towards overdue change and making our community a place for all,” Nenonene said.
