Every year, graduating students from the university’s department of Art and Design come together to create a group exhibit of their best works in Fitz Hall. As they finish their degrees, the exhibition is a final display of their work over the past four years. This year’s show is titled “Lorem Ipsum: Senior Show.”

The exhibition will open Nov. 7, starting with a reception from 5 -7 p.m. The show will remain open until Dec. 4, and is open Mon.-Thurs. 9-5 p.m., Friday 9-2p.m. and Sunday 2-4 p.m. The gallery will be held in Fitz Hall, room 249.

Originally named Gallery249, the art show was rebranded the “Radial Gallery” as of last spring. The Radial Gallery is an educational extension of the department of Art and Design, which serves to showcase the work of students, professional artists and faculty at the University of Dayton. It is not only a learning experience for the students, but also for the viewers of the gallery. The works presented provide a challenge to appreciate the visual aspects of art and the meaning and context behind the pieces. Ultimately, the goal of the Radial Gallery is to connect with the broader community of the university and to foster an appreciation of art, creativity and diversity.
