The oldest student-run organization on campus, the Orpheus Art & Literary Magazine, has opened up submissions for this year’s issue. Existing for more than 100 years on campus, Orpheus has been a way for students to express themselves through visual art, poetry, and short fiction. This year, Orpheus will have two submission windows open for the issue, the combined theme of the issue being “Porch Swing.”

The theme for the first submission window, open until October 28, is “Porch,” focusing on works on the feelings of home, safety, and security.

The second submission window, which will open in January, is “Swing,” which will focus on works about change, evolution, and uncertainty.

If students have work that does not necessarily fit the theme of this year’s issue, they are still encouraged to submit during this submission period.

The Orpheus team will be hosting a write-night at Art Street Studio E on Tuesday, October 22 from 8:30 – 10:00 PM.
