DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men’s basketball team has added two more players to the 2026-27 roster from the transfer portal. Grant Randall and Landen Joseph will join the other seven newcomers on next year’s squad.

Player Breakdown

Grant Randall, Forward, Quinnipiac

Randall spent two seasons with the Bobcats prior to entering the transfer portal. In his second season, he started all but one game and averaged 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Randall hails from Queens, N.Y., and in his final game with Quinnipiac, scored 28 points in a 77-75 loss to Marist in the MAAC quarterfinal. He decided on Dayton after also visiting Cincinnati and George Mason.

Landen Joseph, Guard, Marshall

Joseph fills one of the largest needs for the Flyers: a guard who can shoot. In his freshman campaign with the Thundering Herd, Joseph appeared in 31 games, averaging 7.9 points, 2.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game, while also shooting 41.3 percent from 3-point range. Joseph goes by the nickname “dunk.” His most impressive performances last season include 22 points off the bench at Virginia and 11 points off the bench vs. No. 23 Miami (Ohio).

Final Roster

Randall and Joseph bring the Flyers roster up to 17 total players. The roster includes three high school recruits, six players from the transfer portal, five returning scholarship players and three returning walk-ons. This is one of the deepest rosters that the Flyers have had in the Anthony Grant Era, and possibly ever. All 14 scholarship players should see legitimate minutes at points throughout the season. But this may be one of the final years that Dayton will carry more than 15 players, as the NCAA’s new roster restrictions begin to roll in.
