Junior forward Xeyrius Williams announced Sunday that he plans to leave UD’s basketball program and transfer. It is currently unclear where he will transfer to or why he is leaving.
Williams broke this to Dayton Daily News beat writer David Jablonski Sunday afternoon.
Xeyrius Williams is leaving @DaytonMBB, he just confirmed to me.

Williams, who was out indefinitely with a back injury since Feb. 28, played a limited role coming off the bench when he was available this season.
Prior to that, he stopped traveling to away games to focus on his academics, according to Dayton. He was not on the bench for the final home game against George Washington.
Williams has one year of eligibility remaining and the University has one scholarship open for the 2018-19 season.
