Quinn Moffett, 22, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Moffett was studying health science at the university and comes from a UD alumni family.

She had a passion for dance and being a friend to those around her, Moffett’s obituary states.

“Her many friends described her as ‘a rock,’ ‘thoughtful and loving,’ ‘powerful,’ ‘the brightest light life had to offer,’ ‘a force of nature with the biggest heart,’ ‘truly one of a kind and such a great friend.'”

An open Zoom room will begin Monday at 5 p.m. so that those who mourn her loss can gather together.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Jan. 14 at 1 p.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 E. Stadium Blvd., Ann Arbor, Michigan. The visitation is Jan. 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

“We pray for comfort and peace for each of you,” President Eric F. Spina said to students in the email announcement.

A memorial will be set up in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception for Moffett. Students are invited to stop in and light a candle or offer a prayer in remembrance of her.

The university has campus ministers and counselors available. Resources can be found at Flyer Families under Student Resources.
