Today, we send our thoughts and prayers to the University of Nevada Las Vegas as they cope with the tragic events that unfolded on campus just a few hours ago.
This evening, there was a Men’s Basketball game scheduled between the UNLV Rebels and Dayton Flyers to be held at UD Arena. In light of the seriousness of the situation that occurred at UNLV today, the game will no longer be played.
Dr. Eric Spina, the president of the University of Dayton, posted the following to twitter: “Our hearts go out to the entire UNLV community as they deal with this tragedy. We pray for healing and strength for UNLV students, faculty, and staff, along with the first responders and their entire community. UD stands ready to support UNLV personnel who’ve traveled to Dayton.”
The University of Dayton Athletic Department says that “Further information will be released when available.” Additionally, “we ask that our fans keep the UNLV community in their thoughts and prayers”
