What, like it’s hard?

Kim Kardashian West paid homage to the 2001 rom-com “Legally Blonde” by channeling Reese Witherspoon through her character Elle Woods. Kardashian West recreated the video essay Elle put together to gain admittance to Harvard Law School.

Like the original, the recreated video essay features Kardashian West discussing issues like how her sorority house’s maintenance staff was going to switch their toilet paper from Charmin to generic, putting them at risk of chafing. She then recapped “Days of Our Lives” while floating in a pool and used the legal phrase “I object.”

Earlier this year, Kardashian West announced that she is beginning a four-year law apprenticeship, with the goal of taking the bar in 2022. Kardashian West told Vogue, “I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society. I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.”

In 2018, Kardashian West traveled to the White House to lobby President Donald Trump for the release of Alice Marie Johnson from prison. According to USA Today, Johnson was a 63-year-old grandmother who had a gambling addiction and was sentenced to life behind bars for a nonviolent drug offense.

Since then, Kardashian West has helped grant other prisoner’s clemency for early release. With her work in prison reform, it’s only fitting for Kardashian West to dress as Elle Woods for Halloween.
