Hornets sign former Flyers men’s basketball guard Crutcher

Former University of Dayton men’s basketball guard Jalen Crutcher was signed by the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.

Crutcher, who scored 1,593 points during his Dayton career (ranks 16th all-time at UD), played with the Milwaukee Bucks during the Summer League and averaged 5.3 points in 18.9 minutes per game.

The Hornets play two more preseason games, away against the Miami Heat on Oct. 11 and at home against the Dallas Mavericks Oct. 13. The regular season begins on Oct. 20 at home against the Indiana Pacers.
