All University of Dayton dining facilities will move to takeout only until at least April 5 due to the coronavirus pandemic. And only the Emporium, Emporium Deli and Riverview Cafe (which is in Curran Place) will be open at select hours. Au Bon Pain, which had been open, closed on Wednesday.
Hours are posted here.
In-person classes were suspended and housing was closed for most students on March 11, which caused an earlier start to Spring Break that was scheduled to begin after classes ended on March 13.
Online classes are set to begin on March 23 and last until April 6. Many Ohio colleges and universities have suspended in-person classes for the rest of the semester.
Troy Washington, the vice president of human resources, said the university has committed to paying dining services employees for at least the following two weeks when most students will remain off campus due to the coronavirus.
