Films You CAN’T Miss (Sept. 21)

These upcoming films are coming to theaters on September 21:

The Magnificent Seven

Seven gun men in the old west gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves” (IMDb).

Debuting recently at TIFF, this film failed to reach Tarantino-levels of excitement, but is sure to be a hit with audiences. 7/10 IMDb, 51% Metacritic

Storks

“Storks have moved on from delivering babies to packages. But when an order for a baby appears, the best delivery stork must scramble to fix the error by delivering the baby” (IMDb).

Storks is sure to be added to the already long list of well-performing animal-centric films this year.

Queen of Katwe

“An Ugandan girl sees her world rapidly change after being introduced to the game of chess” (IMDb).

Already being called the next Slumdog Millionaire, with such strong talents in front of and behind the camera, this is not a film to miss. 7.3/10 IMDb

 

Films coming to Dayton’s The NEON:

The Innocents

“In 1945 Poland, a young French Red Cross doctor who is sent to assist the survivors of the German camps discovers several nuns in advanced states of pregnancy during a visit to a nearby convent” (IMDb) 7.6/10 IMDb, 93% Rotten Tomatoes

Complete Unknown

“As a man contemplates moving to a new state with his wife for her graduate program, an old flame – a woman who often changes identities – reenters his life at a birthday dinner party.” (IMDb) 6.7/10 IMDb, 60% Metacritic

Upcoming events at Little Art Theatre:

The Little Art Theatre will be hosting a Presidential Debate viewing party political documentaries beforehand from 3-7pm on September 26.
