The University of Dayton Men’s soccer team is hoping to gain momentum heading into the A-10 tournament after dropping its last two games of the regular season.
The Flyers finished the regular season with a 9-2-4 record overall and 3-2-3 A-10 mark, earning 12 points during the league portion of the schedule. Dayton was also ranked as high as No. 16 in the National Coaches Soccer Poll following a 2-2 draw with No. 2 Kentucky earlier in the season.
Dayton enters the postseason as the No. 6 seed in the tournament, and will head to No. 3 seed VCU on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
Earlier this season, Dayton hosted VCU at home and earned a 3-1 victory over the Rams.
The winner of Friday’s match-up will move on to the A-10 Semifinals on Nov. 9. The bracket will be reseeded after the A-10 Quarterfinal contests.
