The University of Dayton women’s soccer team will take on No. 4 seed Davidson Wednesday night at Baujan Field in a battle for a spot in the Atlantic 10 championship game.

The match is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff between the Wildcats and No. 2 seed Dayton.

The Flyers enter the match after winning their last three games and sit at 15-3-1 overall. Dayton was 8-2 in A-10 play during the regular season, including a 1-0 win on the road at Davidson on Sept. 15. Junior Itala Gemelli scored the game-winner in the first matchup this season.

Dayton won its quarterfinal matchup against Massachusetts 2-0 Friday night at Baujan Field to move one step closer to securing the A10 title. The Minutewomen finished the 2022 campaign 5-9-5 overall.

Dayton outshot Massachusetts, 15-10 in Friday’s quarterfinal match, but the Minutewomen kept the shots on goal close, with the Flyers edging out UMass 6-5 with shots on target.

If victorious Wednesday, the Flyers will take on the winner of No. 1 seed Saint Louis and No. 6 seed Saint Joseph’s in the championship Nov. 6 at noon.
