The new realities of cybersecurity demand organizations arm the average user with behaviors and habits that defend against the constantly evolving security exploits and social engineering ploys, according to the Center for Global Enterprise Global Scholars website.
“Much of what we’ll share is from the implementation of our Cyber-Mindfulness campaign, especially lessons learned from transforming the University of Dayton user community from a source of risk to a proactive auxiliary cybersecurity force,” UD’s chief information officer Tom Skill said.
The Center for Global Enterprise Global Scholars is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research center that provides a world-wide community for students, faculty and professionals to develop practical skills and contribute solutions for the business world.

Universities are among the most vulnerable and frequent targets for cyber intrusions and schools are looking for ways to engage users in safe computing practices.
While the Cyber-Mindfulness program is being developed by the University of Dayton, it can be applied to any industry or organizational setting.
