DAYTON SHOWS LGBTQ PRIDE

Dayton LGBT Center held their Pride Festival on Saturday, June 4th. The Dayton LGBT Center is a non-profit organization with the mission “to create programs that enhance the lives of sexual minorities in Dayton and the Miami Valley.” The festival celebrates diversity and LGBTQ culture in the “Queerest City,” as the advocate says.

GOOD NEWS FOR FANS OF THE HILLS

Lauren Conrad, actress, and star of MTV show The Hills, tweeted on May 31st that the show will return for an anniversary special on August 2nd. Conrad announced the news on the 10th anniversary of the hit TV show. This is a TV event that previous fans of the show will not want to miss!

STARBUCKS TO KICK OFF SUMMER WITH NEW DRINKS, SECRET MENU

Iced coffee lovers will be pleased to learn that Starbucks will kick off the summer with two new drinks. Picture their classic cold brew with a smooth and creamy texture – that’s what you’ll get with their new Nitro Cold Brew. The second drink, the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, speaks for itself. A vanilla cream will sit atop a cold brew to add to their tasty selection of iced beverages. Aside from Starbucks advertised drinks, lovers of the secret menu will be pleased to hear about their new ‘Pink Drink’ – An Açaí Strawberry Refresher with coconut milk instead of water. The Pink Drink is hitting the Instagrams of every Starbucks lover hard this summer.

AN ART LOVERS’ EXPERIENCE – MONTH LONG ART FESTIVAL

In other greater Dayton area news, those of us who are sticking around this summer can add the Springfield Summer Arts Festival to our list of things to do. Kicking off on June 10th, the festival will celebrate its 50th year of existence. Hit some garage sales, buy an old lawn chair and line it up to gear up for the festival’s evening performances. It is admission-free and will run until July 16th.

TAYLOR’S NOT-SO-SWIFT RELATIONSHIP COMES TO AN END

We all saw it coming – though it lasted longer than we thought. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris broke off their relationship after 15 months together. Though this may not be news to us, we’re hoping the internet doesn’t become crazed with Swift break-up jokes. Whether they’re true or not, jokes about her exes and relationship drama are just plain old. Better luck next time around, Tay!
