Crime Log - April 03, 2007
The following incidents were reported to the Department of Public Safety between March 8 and March 22. This log was compiled by Flyer News from actual police reports obtained from the Department of Public Safety.Criminal Damaging
March 8, 8:44 p.m.
Officer Arnold was dispatched to Kiefaber Street on the report of a broken window. Upon arrival he met with a UD student who said sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. an unknown person broke out the front window of his residence. The complainant stated he was at a local bar during that time, and when he returned home he found the damage. The window was immediately boarded until it could be replaced. There are no known suspects or witnesses.
Theft
March 9, 1:39 a.m.
Officer Schaefer was dispatched to the lobby of Lawnview Apartments concerning a theft. He spoke with the victim who stated she believed someone took her purse while at a party on Kiefaber Street. She had her purse when she arrived but may have dropped it in the house. The small Coach purse was black with silver accents and it contained her ID, driver's license, debit card, apartment key and $6.
Telephone Harassment
March 17, 1:03 a.m.
Officer Schaefer was dispatched to Plumwood Apartments in regards to telephone harassment. He made contact with the victim, who stated she received a phone call from a private number. She did not pick up, but the voicemail indicated it was a male with a heavy accent stating his name is Yogi and that he wished to date the victim. She did not recognize the voice of the caller. The officer attempted to call the number but there was no answer.
Criminal Damaging
March 18, 5:57 p.m.
Officer Arnold responded to a residence on Lawnview Avenue on the report of a broken window. He met with the complainant who stated he left his house for spring break March 10 and when he returned March 18 he found that the lower pane of a dining room window had been broken out. He did not believe anyone tried to enter the house, and there did not appear to be anything missing or out of place. There are no known suspects or witnesses.
Burglary
March 22, 8:26 p.m.
Officer Jolly was dispatched to a residence on Kiefaber Street concerning a burglary. He met with a UD student who stated his Bulova Marine Star wristwatch was taken from his kitchen drawer sometime in February. It is valued at $150. The victim looked around his house for the past two months and did not find the watch. He stated it may have been stolen during one of the house parties he hosted over the school year. There are no suspects or witnesses.
