Crime Log - April 04, 2008
The following incidents were reported to the Department of Public Safety between March 2 and March 10, 2008.

Theft
March 2, 5:53 p.m.
Officer Maio was approached by a UD student who said her 1990 Chevrolet Lumina had been broken into while it was parked in the Garden Apartments North parking lot, behind the East Stewart Street apartments. She parked the vehicle March 1 and the next day her roommate informed her the car's driver side window had been broken out. Her dashboard was torn out and her Pioneer CD player, 50 CDs and a Polaroid digital camera were stolen.
Criminal Damaging
March 8, 12:30 a.m.
Officer Weber and Officer Pease were on patrol in the 200 block of Kiefaber when they heard someone yelling about a rock being thrown through a window. They saw five or six college-aged men running toward the 200 block of Lowes. Weber tried to stop the men while Pease met with residents of the house, where an altercation had occurred earlier. One student believed someone threw a brick through the window because of a fight with the football team.
Criminal Damaging
March 9, 2:47 p.m.
Officer S. Durian was dispatched to university-owned A lot on a criminal damaging report. He met with a UD student who said that he had parked his 2000 black Nissan Maxima in G lot at 8 p.m. March 7. When he returned to his vehicle at 2 a.m. March 8, he noticed the driver side and passenger side mirrors had been broken off and were hanging by their wires. The cost of repairs to the damaged mirrors is unknown and there are no suspects at this time.
Theft
March 9, 10:25 p.m.
Officer Orrill was dispatched to Founders Hall on the report of stolen credit cards. He met with a male UD student who said he had been working out at the RecPlex between 9 and 10 p.m. He returned to his gym bag he had left unsecured near the equipment desk and could not locate his wallet. He checked with the desk and someone had turned in his wallet. However, it was missing his National City debit card, a DayAir debit card and $2.
Criminal Damaging
March 10, 1:44 p.m.
Officer Parmenter was dispatched to SV lot on the report of criminal damaging done to a silver 1995 BMW 323. The owner, a UD student, said he had parked the car in the SV lot March 9 and when he returned the next day someone had slashed the left rear tire. There was a slit about one inch long on the sidewall of the tire. It could have been done with a knife. The student said this was the second case of tire slashing but there are no suspects.
