Crime Log - November 20, 2007


The following incidents were reported to the Department of Public Safety between Nov 2. and Nov. 13.
This log was compiled by Flyer News from actual police reports obtained from the Department of Public Safety.

Criminal Damaging
Nov. 2, 2:14 p.m.

Officer Foreman met with an 18-year-old female student who said that her vehicle had the right mirror nearly broken off during the time it was parked on the 400 block of Lowes Street. The complainant said that her 2006 red Mitsubishi four door vehicle had been parked there around noon Oct. 28. Upon returning to her car Nov. 2 she found that the right rear view mirror was almost broken off. The mirror housing is still attached at the bottom.

Criminal Damaging
Nov. 3, 3:22 p.m.

Officer Durian was dispatched to B Lot on the report of a visitors damaged vehicle. He met with the 56-year-old male who said that Nov. 3 around 1:45 p.m. he had parked his light blue 2007 Lincoln Town Car in B Lot. Upon his return around 3:20 p.m. he saw that the drivers side of the car had several scratches and a dent. He had rented the vehicle from Budget Rental in Illinois and it had been inspected for damages before he rented it.

Theft
Nov. 9, 11:46 a.m.

Officer Durian went to College Park Center to meet with a complainant about the report of a stolen Campus OneCard. The female said that Nov. 4 in the early morning someone had used the card to pay for food from Dominos Pizza. Durian contacted Dominos manager who provided him with the room number that ordered the pizza. The student said that he had not intentionally used another card. It is believed that Dominos mixed up the ID numbers.

Criminal Damaging
Nov. 10, 12:42 p.m.

Officer Foreman was dispatched to the 400 block of Kiefaber Street regarding a vehicles passenger side rearview mirror being broken off. He met with the 21-year-old male complainant who said that he had parked his 1995 Gold Saturn SC2 two-door at the back of his house at 3:00 p.m. Nov. 9. When he returned at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 10 his mirror was hanging by cords. There were no fingerprints or footprints and there are no known suspects.

Criminal Damaging
Nov. 13, 1:13 a.m.

Officer Cloyd met with a 21-year-old male UD student on the 200 block of Stonemill Road on the report of a broken passenger side window of a green 2000 Jeep Cherokee. It had been broken out and appeared to be recent damage, since it had been raining off and on during the evening but the inside of the vehicle was not wet. Dispatcher Wright located the owner of the Jeep, who said that she had parked there earlier in the evening.
