Crime Log - November 02, 2007
The following incidents were reported to the Department of Public Safety between Oct. 20 and Oct. 25. This log was compiled by Flyer News from actual police reports obtained from the Department of Public Safety.
Theft
Oct. 20, 12:56 p.m.
Officer Russell met with a male UD staff member in the Kettering Lab Annex on a report of stolen property. The male said that he had put his black wallet on his desk in his office at 10:50 a.m. He left his office unlocked and when he returned one hour later his wallet was missing. In his wallet there was $50 in cash, credit cards, membership cards, a driver's license and pictures, among other items. Officer Russell could not find it in the area.
Theft
Oct. 21, 2:10 a.m.
Officer Schaefer went to Garden Apartments on Stewart Street on the report of a theft. He met with the female UD student who said that she had been at a party on Frericks Way earlier that night. She had set down her NY&Co. wristlet on a table and when she returned five minutes later it was gone. It contained a driver's license, cell phone, $20 in cash and other items. She deactivated her ID that had been in the wristlet and searched around the house.
Burglary
Oct. 21, 2:33 a.m.
Officer Fritz met a UD female on Stonemill Road on the report of a burglary. The female victim said that when she returned home to her unlocked house, she had found two males in her kitchen. She checked the house but it appeared that the only thing missing was eight full cans of Milwaukee's Best beer from the kitchen. It is valued at around $2.50. She described the males as one wearing a green shirt and plaid shorts and the other wearing tan shorts.
Burglary
Oct. 24, 10:48 a.m.
Officer Parmenter went to Stuart Complex to meet a male about a theft from his dorm room. The male had been sleeping in his bed in an unlocked room and sometime between 8 and 9:30 a.m. someone had come in and taken his black Apple iPod off his desk. The 80 GB model iPod in a black belt case is valued at $350. His roommate had left his door unlocked thinking the room would be safe since the male was in it.
Theft
Oct. 25, 2:59 p.m.
Officer Foreman went to the UD police station on Brown Street concerning a theft. He met with the victim, a male UD student, who said that around 8:45 a.m. he noticed his 1998 black Odessa Fuji mountain bike was missing from his back porch on Woodland Avenue. The bike had been unlocked. It is valued at around $190 and has a green cord and silver padlock wrapped around the seat post. He completed a written statement.
