Flyer News: How did you guys meet?
Chris “Budes” Budin: I met JJ through an intramural soccer game.
Kevin “Degs” Degener: I think we met before that though. We met through mutual friends.
CB: I met Bill my second day at Marycrest. I was walking back from the convocation with no shoes on.
Bill “Bootlegger” Reinert: I went to high school with JJ and TC. We didn’t hang out until Dayton.
JJ “Lasto” Lastovich: I met Taylor down the hall in Founders.
KD: I showed up on their doorstep one day.
JL: I met Kevin raining threes on him at the Rec one day.
KD: Not true.
JL: Absolutely true.
Taylor “TC” Craig: We met Budes and Bill in Daytona.
JL: Freshman year.
CB: Don’t know how I met Degener to be honest.
BR: Me either.
FN: What is your favorite room in the house and why?
KD: Livingroom because it’s where I beat Bill in every video game.
FN: Why is this house nicknamed “The Stoop?”
CB: Because of the porch?
BR: Yeah, definitely the porch.
JL: It’s tradition.
CB: The legend of the first Daytonians coming through here sitting on the stoop.
FN: Do you guys do anything together as a house?
CB: Bonfire.
KD: That never happened.
CB: Karaoke and trivia.
BR: Dinners.
CB: Order Domino’s.
KD: Five mediums. Our special.
CB: Poke fun at Bill.
FN: What are your house rules?
KD: I don’t think we have one rule.
JL: An unwritten rule is only two guys on the couch unless it’s a desperate situation.
BR: We have three on the couch right now.
JL: It’s a special situation. We never have three guys on the couch when we don’t have to.
TC: Put your shirt on!
FN: What is the soundtrack to 239 Stonemill?
KD: Shook Ones Part II.
FN: If your house was made into a movie, what would it be called?
TC: We’ve always talked about this.
CB: A league of extraordinary stoopers.
KD: Super stoopers.
FN: What actors would play each of you?
KD: Me and Taylor would play ourselves.
JL: Gerard Butler.
CB: Keanu Reeves.
CB: Miley Cyrus would be Bill.
KD: No Bill would be Billy Bob Thornton or the “Eastbound and Down” guy.
JL: Kenny Powers.
KD: Danny McBride. Aka Kenny Powers.
JL: I was gonna say the guy from “Hot Tub Time Machine.”
FN: What does a typical Sunday morning look like at 239?
JL: About two to four pizza boxes.
TC: This is about 1 p.m. in the afternoon.
KD: Someone asleep on the couch.
CB: Battle dome is usually on the table.
JL: Some discussion of what kind of fast food we want.
FN: What is one word to describe your house?
CB: Inspirational.
KD: Home.
BR: Stoopendous.
TC: Audacious. I’m just thinking of FIFA and what kind of words they use to describe.
JL: Versatile.
FN: Any last words for Flyer News?
CB: Keep on truckin’.
KD: Flag football, team Ox, state. [An intramural team.]
BR: Don’t put that in there.
KD: Put that in there.
BR: 514 Lowes has no fun.
