Flyer News: How did you girls meet?
Caroline Wise: We all lived on Founders four South freshman year.
Kaitlyn Malson: We actually decided to live together on our way to Tim’s on a Thursday night!
Caroline Santella: I actually didn’t like you guys for a while, but now we’re all best friends!
Madie Szaller: I said I’m sorry that I didn’t save you a seat at lunch that one day, but I mean it’s been three years…
FN: What is your favorite part of the house?
HV: The collages that I made for each year that we lived together!
CW: Our green comfy couch, I’ve taken many a naps there.
MS: The quote wall where we tape post-its with funny things that people say.
FN: How did the housing lottery work for you because you are University Honors?
MS: We just applied for special interest, so we weren’t in the lottery.
HV: We’ve successfully avoided the lottery every year.
MSZ: It was a service and honors specialty house, but then the university wanted a house just for honors.
CS: The past two years we’ve done service or honors housing.
FN: What’s the best part about living with all honors students?
HV: We all go to the sixth floor of the library together!
CW: You can be a nerd and it’s fine!
MSZ: The stray cats in the neighborhood always flock to us.
KM: We’ve never had to go through the housing lottery.
FN: Worst part?
CS: You feel bad about slacking off!
All: The University Honors Program sign on the front of the house!
FN: So, I hear you guys have adopted cats.
MSZ: Unofficially, if you put out food, they will come.
MS: I just wanted to be a cat lady, so I persuaded them to let me.
KM: We nixed letting them inside.
MSZ: I would sneak them inside.
KM: We did have some mice in our house when we lived on Alberta, so I liked the cats better when they were there.
FN: What is the theme song to 428 Stonemill?
HV: “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo because we would always listen to it while we got ready to go out freshman year.
CW: “We Are Young” by Fun
CS: That was our junior year getting ready song.
KM: “Bottoms Up” by Trey Songs and Nikki Minaj because I like to rap the Nikki Minaj part.
FN: What does a typical Friday night at 428 look like?
HV: First there’s an afternoon nap.
CS: Then we go to Brown [Street] for dinner.
CW: Then we all get ready together!
MS: Then we go to our guy friend’s house and go out!
MSZ: Then sometimes we chant “Tim’s! Tim’s! Tim’s!”
KM: Or “Bars! Bars! Bars!”
MSZ: We are a blast.
FN: What is your favorite thing to do as roommates?
HV: Magazine and wine parties!
CS: Make our cute Halloween costumes every year that become famous! Freshman year we made iPod dresses and to this day people still call us “the iPods.”
MS: Watch “Teen Mom” Tuesday nights, 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
KM: Tims! Tims! Tims!
FN: Do you guys have any house rules?
HV: Yes, the seat check rule doesn’t apply in the baby pool.
CS: No wine glasses allowed. You must drink wine from the bottle.
CW: Must watch “Bridesmaids” together at least once a month!
MSZ: If you’re home on a Sunday and there is a “[Law and Order] SVU” marathon on, you will be watching it.
FN: What’s one word to describe your house?
HV: Cool-Awkward.
CS: Wine.
CW: Founders four South.
MS: BFF’s.
MSZ: Quirky.
KM: Zesty.
